Thanks to the archives of Stuart Mathews, here’s more artwork created by his father Gordon Mathews (1930-2008) for The Post Void Radio Theater’s Little City in Space.Born in Arkansas City, Kansas, Gordon became a commercial artist at the Kansas City Art Institute. During his stint in the US Air Force, he became their top illustrator. In 1955 he moved his family to Minneapolis, and worked on advertising campaigns for clients such as Pillsbury, General Mills, Northrup King, and Old Home Dairy.
