Little City in Space Syndicated Series Episode 6

JimHall1990 #6 includes a memorable encounter with Casey “Woo Woo” Ledbetter, the robot engineer of LCS-1‘s Commuter Snake that helps transport residents about the orbiting city. Jim Hall (left) portrays the beloved Casey on KFAI radio’s Sound Affects April 27 Sunday evening at 9:30 (CST), during the show’s once-every-month re-broadcast of LCS, also heard in the KFAI program archive for two weeks.

The skit inspired the former lead singer of Wall of Voodoo & solo performer in his own right, Stan Ridgway,StanRidgway-crop to compose “Snake Train,” a song tribute which appeared on Stan’s 1991 album, Partyball.

Stuart Mathews took these photos. Stan appeared at 1990’s Space Club Party in L.A., where LCS’ cranky Paul Bunny emerged from his Energy Closet and regaled guests with his extraterrestrial insights.
